Just a Handful

I didn't get a chance to go to the Park Slope Flea Market this past weekend, but I did make my way there the weekend before. And, I forgot to post my photos of my found treasures.

So, here they are...

Just a handful. That seems to be the deal. I go and find just a handful of things to purchase. Enough to make me happy and not enough to break the bank. These upholstery trims were fabulous (and I'm talking about the price too)! I wish I had a photo of the man's table that was selling them. He had SO many! A rainbow of colors and patterns. They were so lovely. And, I fell in love with the little British Bobby and white horse charms!!! These are two charms that I'm going to have to keep for myself. I rarely do such a thing, but this time is a must!

A few new items have been added to the Etsy shop!

I absolutely love this new bracelet. I almost don't want to let it go!

...and, check out the new banner I have up on my shop. Let me know what you think. :)

It's mine!

That's right.

I am now the proud owner of Pan's Labyrinth!

It only took me three tries to get it. On the day it came out, I asked my hubby if he could pick it up for me, but his days are busy and he forgot. So, I trekked out to Target to pick it up with a few other things. Apparently, somewhere between the shopping cart and the check out, the DVD disappeared. :( I didn't notice it until I got home and went to watch it. So, on my third try, I went to Target and held the DVD in my hands from shelf to check out and watched it last with my husband who had not formerly seen it in theaters. I think he was slightly surprised that it wasn't quite the fairytale he thought it was going to be. I have to say myself that it does have some pretty gruesome scenes.

It's one of the best movies I've seen to date by far.

A Birth Day

It's my husband's birthday today, and I have to say that it's been really enjoyable! We started out the day by browsing through the Park Slope Flea Market (where I got a hand full of goodies that I'll be posting about later.) Then, we headed to Union Square where we saw Spider Man 3. It wasn't my choice, but it isn't my birthday either. It was enjoyable. I was more excited about the preview of Across the Universe.

After the movie, we walked around looking at all of the artists that were set up in the square. We finally purchased two photo prints by Daniel Arancibia that we've been wanting since we moved to the city.

Then...we headed home to pick up little Mister and walked around Park Slope for a couple of hours before heading to ThaiTony's for some amazing Thai food.

Flea Market Finds

This past weekend, I made my way over to the Park Slope Flea Market that I had read about through the blog of Ann Wood.

I found a handful of vintage jewels that I can't wait to turn into some new pieces! And, yes, that is a pair of vintage brass ballerina earrings that you see. Aren't they wonderful!?! If you're in the Park Slope area, especially on the weekends, I would encourage you to go and check it out. It's such a beautiful part of town. I wished that I had my camera on me at the time.
